Hi, I'm Mark Peters.

I’m running for Centerville School Board because I believe in giving back to the schools and community that have given so much to my family.

When my wife and I moved from Arizona in 2008, we chose Centerville for its strong sense of community and its outstanding schools — schools that embraced the unique learning styles of our children. Our two sons are proud Centerville graduates, and I’ve seen firsthand the incredible opportunities this district provides — from academics to the arts to athletics. Those experiences helped shape who they are today. In fact, the impact of Centerville’s educators was so meaningful that our oldest son is now a high school math teacher in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Over the years, I’ve looked for ways to give back — serving on the levy committee, acting as budget advisor for the Centerville Jazz Band, representing boys tennis on Athletic Boosters, and through Scouts. And if you attended a home or away football game between 2016 and 2020, you may have heard my voice announcing the Centerville Jazz Band’s halftime and postgame shows!

Professionally, I’ve spent my career in financial services, primarily focused on risk management — helping organizations make smart, sustainable decisions, especially in times of uncertainty. I want to bring that same focus and forward-thinking mindset to the school board.

If elected, I’ll be a steady, thoughtful voice — someone who asks good questions, listens closely, digs into the data, and works hard to ensure every decision we make is good for students, good for teachers, and fair to taxpayers. I’m not running for a title — I’m running because I care deeply about this community and want to do my part.

Thanks for stopping by — and thank you for your support!
